SONATA PARK - COMPASS POINT
Sonata Park’s Compass Point is a place to rest, reflect, and renew your energies while appreciating nature for its healing powers and its own sake. The Compass Point’s natural grounding stones encourage connecting with the earth and your inner compass. The Center stone is etched with the invitation to Be Still. Surrounding stones reflect what you may need to give or receive to experience stillness. Stand or sit on the Be Still stone, then move to the stone(s) that call to you. Notice that the words for the Compass Point reflect Beethoven’s wisdom and love for the natural world.
“How happy I am to be able to walk among the shrubs, the trees, the woods, the grass, and the rocks ... for the woods, the trees, and the rocks give a man the inspiration he needs.”
"In such a forest, in the heights, there is peace, peace to serve it."
"In the world of art, as in the whole of creation, freedom and progress are the main objectives.
Nature is a glorious school for the heart! ... I shall be a scholar of this school and bring an eager heart to her instruction. Here I shall learn wisdom."
